At MVPoll, we believe that democracy requires both verification and anonymity. You should be able to prove you're a real person without revealing how you voted. This is the foundation of our platform.
Our Promise
We will never sell, share, or misuse your personal data. Your vote is yours alone, and we use advanced cryptographic techniques to ensure it stays that way.
Your identity verification and your vote are stored in completely separate database tables with no direct connection between them.
We never store your actual National ID number. Instead, we use SHA-256 hashing to create a one-way cryptographic fingerprint.
This hash is irreversible - even we cannot recover your original ID number from it.
When you vote, we only record:
We show demographic breakdowns (e.g., "65% of males aged 25-34 voted Yes") but these are aggregated statistics that cannot identify individuals.
Example: If 1,000 people in Male voted, we show "1,000 votes from Male" but never "Ahmed from Male voted Yes."
All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Even if someone accessed our servers, they couldn't read the data.
All communication between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3, preventing eavesdropping.
Every action is logged with cryptographic chaining (like blockchain). Any tampering would be immediately detectable.
Role-based permissions ensure only authorized admins can access specific functions. All admin actions are logged.
We integrate with eFaas (Electronic Federated Authentication as a Service) system for instant identity verification. MVPoll operates independently and is not influenced by any external parties.
eFaas confirms you are a verified Maldivian citizen without sharing your full details with us. We receive only: name, age, gender, and location - no sensitive ID numbers.
eFaas ensures each person can only register once, preventing duplicate accounts while maintaining your privacy.
